I have worked 30+ years in technology. From PC hardware to Software, Aluminium smelter controllers and Nightclub AV. My connection with PHP started in 2005 just as PHP 5 was available and built an ERP with PHP & MySQL to connect to MYOB through an ODBC. I attended the PHP meetup in 2006 and became an organiser with my Friend Jarard. I stepped in and out of software world while being a MCSA working Microsoft Small Business Servers. With the advent of the cloud and Microsoft transitioning in 2010 I moved back to PHP with WordPress for several years becoming part of the Brisbane community again helping with meetups, speaking at WordCamp and co-organising WordCamp Brisbane 2017. Since 2019 I have worked with Laravel, Symfony and even Magento for a bit but now back building cool things with Laravel.
